I now know what computer system I want to have next!
As I had browsed through the computer displays this recent Saturday, I was finally able to find out more about this beauty of a monitor. I first saw this as I was going out of Digital Hub in Robinson’s Pioneer, after looking through the Macbook Pro and the iMac and trying to decide which one to really target next, and I had a hunch that it may double as an HDTV or something.
True enough, as I asked about it while I was window shopping, I found out that it was, indeed an HDTV, aside from a computer monitor!
So while I was mulling over my other options, my heart was starting to get set on how I would build a computer system around this tech wonder: the AOC M19W531 LCD monitor with built-in TV Tuner.
I wondered how I would actually pull off this financial maneuver, so I decided to try and build a system for myself online, through PC Corner.com.ph’s PC Builder application. I came up with these specs (click to download my specs sheet), and I realized that I need quite a big amount of moolah if I want an excellent system. Buying this desktop system would actually be much like buying a mid-range PC laptop. Though I was really warming up to the idea, I was starting to think that there may be better options. Like going for a second-hand desktop system from Japan instead.
And so, my heart is settled. The saga ends. I am going for a desktop system built around this LCD Monitor-slash-HDTV. Initially, I shall buy one of these second-hand beauties, then later, I’ll get me a kick-butt system like the one I built.
All’s well that ends well, eh? :)
